Biography (About Us)
The Big Fuss formed in 2015 as an alternative to the sea of Blues Rock cover bands. We add a new twist to your favorite rock songs by unleashing our unique style and sonic fury. James and Matt first met in high school and had been involved in music at an early age. They soon met Ryan and their musical bond would be planted.
Throughout the late ‘90s and early 2000s, James, Matt and Ryan played various venues together throughout the Garden State most notably The Stone Pony, Starland Ballroom and the Asbury Park Convention Hall. They parted their ways to seek personal growth in the mid-2000s.
Then, James met Fred as a member of High Street and soon joined the band as a permanent bass player and background vocals. High Street continued to gain support across the bar scene in New Jersey throughout their tenure.
James real passion was to play guitar, and then in the mid-2010s he went on a mission to find his groove. He recruited his former bandmates, Matt and Ryan, and enlisted the services of Fred to form what is today’s most sonically-driven cover band.

New takes on classics, ballads forgotten that you’ll fall in love with again, and dancers that will leave you breathless are on the menu when this crew comes to town. Bigger-than-life James effortlessly shreds lead guitar while Don fills the bottom with his soulful brand of bass. Ryan bottles lightning into the beat on drums and Matt maintains the groove on rhythm guitar.
